GOLIATH WITH CALIFORNIA FINISH

A rectangular pool anchors a backyard designed for relaxed, coastal-style entertaining. Lounge chairs, shaded seating, and a central conversation area create multiple places to gather, while warm stone and planting keep the space comfortable and approachable.

Goliath POOL DESIGN

Thursday Pools Goliath render dimensions

The Goliath is a rectangular fiberglass pool available in six sizes. This installation features the 16′ x 41′ model, a long footprint that keeps the center open for swimming.

Its interior includes rounded entry steps and integrated bench seating in the shallow-end corners, a perimeter courtesy ledge, and two swim-out benches in the deep-end corners, keeping the swim lane clear while distributing seating and entry points across the full length.

THE GELCOAT FINISH

Thursday Pools California Master Swatch color 2

California is a medium-blue gelcoat finish that produces a clear, traditional blue water color, deeper in tone than lighter aqua or green-based finishes.

Against the pale patio, gray border, and surrounding planting, the blue water reads clean and defined, giving the pool strong contrast within the softer materials of the yard.

Ask your dealer how water depth and surrounding hardscapes can shift the final water color of the pool in your yard.

Waterline Tile

Blue & Gray Mosaic Band

The waterline tile uses a blue and gray mosaic that works with the California finish and the surrounding patio.

It adds definition at the pool’s edge without introducing strong contrast or pattern, keeping the pool surface visually continuous.

Pool Cover

Recessed-Track Automatic Pool Cover

The automatic cover housing sits flush at the end of the pool, serving practical safety and security needs without taking over the view. From most angles, the cover system remains unobtrusive, allowing the pool’s full footprint to stay visually clear.

Coping

Contrasting Gray Pool Border

The coping uses a darker gray tone than the main patio, creating a clear transition between the pool and the surrounding pavers. The contrast helps the water read distinctly, keeping the pool visually separate from the deck.

Patio

Large-Format Light Pavers

The patio uses large-format rectangular pavers in a light stone tone. Their size and layout make the deck feel more spacious while complementing the pool’s lines.

The pale surface reflects light across the yard and keeps the space from feeling dense, allowing the pool and surrounding elements to stand out.

Spa

Separate Round Hot Tub

The round spa sits off to one side of the pool alongside the lounge area, creating a separate place to gather.

Its circular shape introduces a softer contrast to the pool’s straight edges.

Lounge Seating

Row of Chaise Lounges

Chaise lounges line one side of the pool, creating a dedicated sunning area. Their placement keeps seating concentrated along the edge while maintaining clear space across the patio.

Conversation Area

Outdoor Sofa with Fire Table

A low seating group with a fire table creates a place to gather beside the pool. The low profile keeps sightlines open, while the fire table establishes a center point without interrupting views across the patio.

Landscaping

Layered Beds & Open Lawn

The landscaping stays low and controlled around the patio, then rises gradually into the back edge of the yard. Shrubs, hydrangeas, and small ornamental plantings soften the perimeter, while the open lawn keeps the center of the yard from feeling overcrowded.
