THE COPING

White Natural Stone

Light natural stone coping runs along the perimeter of the pool, forming the transition between the water and the surrounding patio. The pale stone contrasts with the dark aggregate surface and frames the blue water. The smooth profile keeps the edge clean and comfortable for sitting.

WATERLINE TILE

Blue Mosaic

A narrow band of blue mosaic tile runs along the waterline of the pool. This tile protects the pool surface at the point where water meets air, where sunscreen, oils, and minerals tend to collect.

In this installation, the tile also reinforces the color palette. The blue tones echo the water created by the California finish and visually connect the pool to the teal cushions in the seating area.

THE PATIO

Exposed Aggregate Concrete

The patio surrounding the pool is charcoal exposed aggregate concrete, sometimes called pebble or pea-gravel finish. After the concrete is poured, the top layer is washed to reveal the small stones within the mix, giving the surface its texture.

The darker tone grounds the space and provides contrast for the white coping, furniture, and blue water. The textured surface also adds traction underfoot, which is useful around pools where the deck regularly gets wet.

IN-POOL SEATING

Tanning Ledge Chairs

The sculptural white chairs are designed for use directly on shallow tanning ledges. Unlike standard patio furniture, they are weighted and shaped to remain stable in water while resisting sun and chemical exposure.

Placed on the shallow ledge, they allow you to sit partially submerged while remaining engaged with activity on the patio and around the pool.

LOUNGE SEATING

Outdoor Furniture

The seating area beside the pool is white wicker lounge furniture with teal cushions  draped with yellow beach towels for contrast. The teal repeats the color of the water, while the white frames echo the coping and fencing around the yard.

Arranged close to the pool edge, the seating area creates a place for conversation and relaxation while remaining visually connected to the water.

TURF AREA

Synthetic Lawn

A section of synthetic turf sits beside the patio, providing a durable lawn area for games and casual use. Unlike natural grass, it remains consistent in color and texture through changing weather and heavy foot traffic.

Placed just beyond the hardscape, the turf softens the edge of the patio while keeping the main pool area clean and low-maintenance.

FENCING

White Vertical Plank

Tall gray vertical plank fencing with white posts and trim encloses the yard and provides privacy around the pool area. The vertical lines keep the structure visually simple while allowing the bright color to relate to the coping, furniture, and planters used throughout the space.

Placed along the perimeter, the fence defines the boundary of the yard without competing visually with the pool and patio.

PLANTERS

Tropical Plants

Tall white planters placed along the fence line introduce vertical planting to the yard. The narrow containers keep the patio area open while adding height and texture along the perimeter.

The white planters relate to the coping, furniture, and fencing, while the tropical plants bring movement and greenery to the space.

POOL HOUSE

Outdoor Room

A small pool house sits at the edge of the patio with a full overhead garage-style door that opens the structure completely to the yard. When the door is raised, the building functions as a covered outdoor room connected to the pool area.

The black-framed glass doors echo the trim on the main house, helping the structure feel integrated with the architecture rather than added afterward.
