If you want a built-in spa as part of your pool shell, the Mack Daddy may be the better fit. If you prefer more open space for lounging, swimming, games, and gatherings, consider the Magnate.

The Magnate’s open swim lane runs the length of the pool with no steps or bench cutting into it, and the uniform depth means no shallow end to shorten your stroke. That suits lap swimming, water walking, and resistance exercise. If you train seriously, note that a 36-foot lane is shorter than a standard 25-yard competition lane, so you will be turning more often.

The Magnate’s straight edges and consistent width support clean track alignment, which makes it a good match for an automatic cover. Automatic covers can help reduce debris, retain heat, and limit evaporation. Cover selection, installation, and operation should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and an automatic cover is one layer of protection that does not replace adult supervision or a compliant barrier.
