Thursday Pools at the Mid America Pool and Spa Show

Thursday Pools US and Canadian executives will be attending the Mid America Pool & Spa Show January 21-24, 2013.  The show will be held at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg Illinois.  The objective is to participate in seminars, review exhibits and meet with current and potential Thursday Pools dealers.  Mike Vokey, Director of Thursday Pools Canada says, “given the close proximity to our Canadian customers, many of our Canadian dealers will be attending and we will be comparing notes from the seminars.”  Continuous improvement and learning is part of the culture at Thursday Pools so we can provide the best quality and service to our dealer network.

Press Release – Thursday Pools Implements Owens Corning Fiberglass

Thursday Pools has recently implemented the use of 100% Owens Corning® OVC™ Reinforcements  – Advantex® Fiberglass in their pool manufacturing.  This is a major improvement in quality and environmental stewardship says Bill Khamis.

Advantex® is both an E-Glass and a Boron Free Corrosion-Resistant E-CR Glass.  It provides:

  • Increased mechanical properties compared to an E-Glass
  • Has the corrosion resistance of an E-CR Glass
  • Made in North America

Thursday Pools implemented the new Corrosion Resistant fiberglass, which adds another layer of protection against osmotic blisters.  In addition to using Vinyl Ester Barrier Coat, Thursday Pools uses Advantex® Boron Free E-CR Glass instead of the industry standard E Glass. It may cost more but we know the advantages outweigh the additional cost says Gene Foster.   E-CR Glass is corrosion resistant and therefore is used in a variety of extreme applications such as environmental tanks with acid or caustic solutions
